Need help, what am I missing???

Hi, All,

I just got my Hermes, connected it, did the setup via I2S and thought I was good to go. Here is what I had before Hermes:

Elite CD player via Coax to Pontus

Brennan B2 via Toslink to Pontus

Eversolo DMP A6 Master via USB to Pontus.

So I add Hermes and run I2S from Pontus to Hermes. I set Hermes to 000 and play streamer and voila music plays.

I take Toslink from Pontus to Toslink In on Hermes. I play Brennan - nothing

I take Coax from Pontus to Coax In on Hermes. I play Elite unit nothing

Then it occurs to me, I still have USB from Streamer to Pontus. So am I totally bypassing Hermes by not going USB to Hermes as well???

How should everything be connected?? What am I missing???

I would set this up as follows if possible - Eversolo to Hermes via USB Elite to Hermes via Coax Brennan configured as NAS and accessed from Eversolo Hermes to Pontus via i2s This achieves what @soix mentioned above. I just don’t know if Eversolo has capabilities to read NAS

The dongle will connect to its USB. There should be instructions on how to do it…I don’t own it but I took a quick look and it had capabilities of being a NAS. Once it is configured that way, you can get your Eversolo to see it using the Brennan IP address and folder names. I also don’t know if Eversolo has settings for NAS I’m assuming it does as almost every modern streamer in its price category has that feature.
