Need a new preamp - child destroyed Proceed AVP

Greetings,

I'm in the market for a new preamp for my system. Amplification is provided by two balanced Hafler 220s running in mono and a Hafler DH500 for rear channels. I wouldn't mind being able to run home theater though it but it's not a prerequisite. I was considering the Proceed AVP2 but realize its very old and without HDMI. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd be happy to provide more info if needed.

What's your budget? Since that's going to largely dictate what your options are, that's probably the best place to start. Once I know that, I can make some recommendations for you.

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you - this past week has been a busy one. If you're trying to stay on the lower end of your budget, the Yamaha CX-A5100 is a very respectable processor (11.2 Atmos, DTS-X, etc.), and is on sale right now for only $2499 (msrp $2999). If you're comfortable moving your budget up a bit, Arcam's AV860 (msrp $5500) is a very reasonably priced reference-grade option, and has the most advanced room correction software on the market right now (Dirac Live). Let me know if you would like more information on either of these models, or if you would like to look at other options and I'd be happy to help you find a suitable match.
