Need a new preamp - child destroyed Proceed AVP

Good deals starting to pop up on hi caliber prepro’s with HDMI if you can live without later decoding. Or AVRs if they have the right number of channel pre outs for your amps. I would seek a prepro the 2ch preamps are much much better in some of them.

Thanks for the input. It's been a long time since I've been up on available tech, so I'm sure my fluency in the area has degraded. My apologies.
I'm debating whether I'm going to use the unit for home theater or keep it simple and just for audio. I'd like to be able to use phono, tape and CD/BD at a minimum. I have a nice self-powered sub but haven't seen many non-home theater systems with a sub out.

What's your budget? Since that's going to largely dictate what your options are, that's probably the best place to start. Once I know that, I can make some recommendations for you.

I'd say <$3000 is the neighborhood in which I'm currently searching, unless cost/benefit makes something beyond that worth considering.

Thinking wrongly and that you were after something older, my fault for misreading.

Not "new" but $3000 can get you a Anthem statement D2V prepro just short of the latest 4K

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you - this past week has been a busy one. If you're trying to stay on the lower end of your budget, the Yamaha CX-A5100 is a very respectable processor (11.2 Atmos, DTS-X, etc.), and is on sale right now for only $2499 (msrp $2999). If you're comfortable moving your budget up a bit, Arcam's AV860 (msrp $5500) is a very reasonably priced reference-grade option, and has the most advanced room correction software on the market right now (Dirac Live). Let me know if you would like more information on either of these models, or if you would like to look at other options and I'd be happy to help you find a suitable match.

I really like the Anthem Statement D2v 3D but have been unable to find one available for sale. There were a few on eBay for around $2700 but I was unable to act on them at the time and no more have appeared there. Has anyone leads I may pursue?
