Naim Nait original

I have a vintage amp, Naim nait in verry good condition, wasn't used for many year. What could be the value if I was to sell use? Ive replace it with the atom in the office setup and have no more use to it

I remember reading about the Nait amp in one of Art Dudley’s columns in Stereophile years ago. He was discussing either a new version of the Nait and/or a refurbished unit. He had a favorable opinion of the Nait! What’s it worth? Couple of hundred probably.

I would rather spend $349 on a brand-new Topping PA5 integrated amp. Considerably more power (43/86wpc @8/4ohms) and low distortion (0.01%)!

@nicolascb  Original Naits are worth much more than you might expect. They're a "thing". Really. IIRC, the one that Art Dudley spent time with had been "refurbished". Actually, much more than a mild refurbishment. I think it had been treated to a full artisanal refurb & tweaked to within an inch of it's life. The goal was to ensure it could function to the maximum limit of it's humble origins and design brief. I think he really liked it.

All this to say it's worth more than a couple of hundred. I expect you wouldn't have any trouble selling it.

A good place to ask about it's value might be pink fish media. There's a forum there and a lot of naim &  ex-naim fans over there.

assuming really good condition, Nait 1 $700+, Nait 2 very sought after now, $850+

hope this helps
