Naim N 272 with Mcintosh MC501s

I'd like to hear your thoughts on using Naim 272 network streamer with Mcintosh gear. I tried Mcintosh MB100 streamer but it was too noisy. Also, since Naim is also a pre-amp, and i use Mcintosh 2500, does anyone know if there'll be a conflict? I'm using the Naim strictly as a streamer and DAC, so if anyone can give some feedback, on what to expect in sound or hopefully synergy, they'd be great!
