Naim CDX2 'new release' vs 'previous release'

I used to have one of the last production "older" CDX2's and did have a chance to compare to one of the new ones. I did not notice any differece nor did the owner of the new model. If I had a choice between the two for the same or similar money I would choose the new one because of it's flexibility but not because of it's sound. Very nice CDP. I do miss the manual drawer.
