NAD - Digital AND Class D amps in current line-up
Hi everyone,
I was just thinking about something in another thread. It seems that NAD is currently manufacturing receivers and amps with 3 different types of switching amplifiers:
1 - Direct Digital (Only true digital amp of the 3)
2 - Hypex Ncore in the HT amplifiers (Class D)
3 - A unique hybrid approach they used in the D 3020. Designed by Hypex, but NOT nCore. This seems closer to the Carver/Yamaha EEEngine approach of sliding rails with a linear amplifier.
I’m curious if anyone has any insight into their sales/marketting strategy or if you have been able to compare these units side-by-side.
Best,
Erik
