My Wyrd Schiit review
I was thinking of upgrading my DAC-it and like usual, I started reading reviews and threads to help me make up my mind. In the process of deciding, I read several reviews about improving power supplies and noisy computer audio. So before spending $800.00 to $1200.00 for a DAC to replace my Peachtree, I decided to see if purchasing a de-crapifier from Schiit Audio would help. I understand Schiit makes no claims of sonic improvement, but I also had issues with my iTunes loosing connection with my DAC. Since Schiit did make claims that it might bring results in that regard, I figured what the hell, I'll try it.
IMHO this little $79.00 (B-stock) item is amazing. I'm hearing detail, air, clarity, cleaness, organization that I've never heard before. I haven't had it long enough to determine whether it helps keep my iTunes and DAC in love (connected) with each other, but I should know in a few days.
Just wanted to share this with everyone.. not sure everybody will believe, but oh well!.. It might be worth spending $100 on this little gizmo to help you fall back in love with your DAC again. Think of it like Electronic Lingerie!
