Well  that is what tech is all about, always developing/always improving,

Speakers are no longer wooden boxes and paper cones, there is a lot of R and D involved.

And no I don't plan to sell these any time soon or probebly every, hey are that good!!

I sold some camera equipment plus got a great trade in deal for my Dynaudio Contor 20's.

So I actually only paid $2500 out of pocket for the X3's

My dealer does not carry Dynaudio any longer...

But I think that I made a great decision in getting the X3's

mbmi thanks for the input and yes the more I listen to these the better they get (-;

And no these will not be up for sale in a long time if ever...

I have recently added the Axxess Noir Resonance Control footers to my X3's

Brings the speakers to a different level, pricy but my dealer gave me a 30% discount, well worth it at full retail (-;

They improved the speakers in every way, they only add an additional one inch to the height of the speaker

The X3's have two woofers, the two drivers under the tweeter.

The one above the tweeter is a mid-range driver..

I listened to these very briefly on a visit to my dealer the other day, but not critical listening.

The sound was nice and detailed but they do not have the "big speaker" sound that I am used to with my X3's'

Having become accustomed to the X3 sound I do not think a stand mount will cut it for me any more.
