My New Audio System

After a month of shopping on eBay I bought this. ITT GSX-500 tube receiver. Fluance Elite TT and Audio Monitor Silver Si speakers. The ITT receiver is a cheapened Pioneer SX-82. It has three less receiver tubes that removed the narrow option. It removed the 6AN8 power tube driver and used a 12AX7. The 12AX7 sounds better. It uses 360 volts vs 440 for 20 watts vs 26 watts RMS per channel. It has been completely rebuilt including stellar sounding K40Y-9 coupling capacitors. The new tubes are GE 7189A and JJ E83CC. The best tube I used was Mullard 12AX7 long plate until I heard the JJ. JJ sounds same as Mullard but projects further into the room. Buy these JJ you wont be sorry.. Do not wait as stocks are getting slim. The Audio Monitor Silver Si are a serious performer. I heard the Audio monitor Gold series and the speakers equaled the Revel M22 that is the best speaker I ever owned.

The TT comes with a AT91C that will be replaced with a VM540ML.
