Multi amplification

I have been contemplating for a long time the idea of multiplying the number of amps and speakers to create a sort of headphones environment in my 16 m2 office room.
Ideally using 2 same integrated amps, one added to the other through the record output or equivalent (non subject to variation in tone or level) and ending up with (2X4) 8 loudspeakers in the room.
(This solution is the only one I consider as I am not to buy 1 preamp+2 amps to achieve this.)

My concern is that I am not sure I'm not going to create a micro delay that will alter the clarity of the sound.

What do you think?

Reminds me of my first dorm room in Rogers Hall, WSU, 1976. Two integrated amps, connected like you said, tape monitor out so we could use sources connected to either one and control volume independently of each other. Which frequently was cranked pretty loud, us being 20 and heavily intoxicated a great deal of the time.

Building a dorm blaster, worried about micro-delays. Good one.
It is not a dorm blaster :) It is my office, roughly 4m X 4m, so yes I worry about micro delays. I suspect the 2 amps don't have the exact same response but maybe this is not a concern...
