Moving cross country

Have maybe a stupid question but in September I’m going to be moving from West Virginia to Texas. Will be using a moving company. Have a large vinyl collection about 12000 albums. Worried about having them in the back of a truck the September heat. Anyone have suggestions on packing and what are the risk of warping. Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm stunned anyone doesn't know people are moving to the red states. Oh well, fake news.

There's nothing to worry about. Pack your records in double-layered cardboard boxes. Mark them all THIS END UP FRAGILE GLASS. Pack them towards the middle, or anywhere a few feet in from the outside.

This is because the whole trailer is one thermal mass. The outside may get warm but no way the inside temp rises more than a few degrees from ambient at loading time. Its pretty much a physical impossibility. Even on the outside though they will be okay just as long as they're properly boxed up.
