Most reputable independent tube equipment repair facilities in the US ?

Not that I need it now but maybe in the future, especially for equipment no longer supported by the manufacturer, some European or Japanese exotics, real vintage etc.

I mean, master level trustworthy technicians.

Do you know anyone ?

wrm57,

Thank you. I'll keep him in mind.

West Point is not too far from me, right.

Peter,

Thank you.

Just for possible future. Do you also service and calibrate R2R decks or could give a referral ? I might get Otari deck later, not likely Studer.

But for now I only have my VAC Avatar's SE volume control knob making scratching noises. I don't know if it is a wear or just dirt, but I am not going to ship it to VAC for that or even take it to your facilities. It's minor at the moment.

I have to ship my dear Nakamichi 682ZX deck to California for service every few years and pray each time I do it. I trust only Willy Hermann with it, and he is over there.

Bill, yes, I am in Fairfield County, CT, used to be in Westchester County, NY.

I wouldn't mind shipping, some risks, sure. Including shipping to Austin, TX.

wharfy, thank you, the name in NJ sounds familiar, but I've never dealt with them.

Yeah, no shipping is no go for most of us. Analogique in NYC doesn't do shipping either, by the way.

Prairie Audio does not exist on the web, at least I couldn't find it.

I'll check those places on the East Coast.
