Yep, those are the original sl6 with the copper dome tweeter. That woofer is a design that was very advanced for the time with no dustcap. It was designed with laser interferometry to study the movement of the cone and ensure that it was as linear as possible in its pistonic movement. Historic design.

That's an unusual but beautiful horn speaker for sure. I'd love to hear them.

grislybutter,

As one who still owns the Celestion sl6si, I think they are beautiful in their own way. They have a pleasing proportion, and they led the way for the modern day small monitor. Truly a classic.

I appreciate exotic looks in speakers, but I also love old school veneered boxes, and I've always thought that those Heritage Dynaudios are beautiful.

Don’t feel band manogolf, I can’t figure it out either. Everyone else seems to be doing it so I feel stupid.

I agree, Venture makes beautiful speakers. I have no idea about how they sound, but I'm also intrigued by their cone tweeters which is pretty unusual these days.

snilf,

Those Scientific Fidelity speakers are really old now. I remember the guy that designed them in print ads with his magic wand.
