Mono block or bi-amp

This may be a silly question, but can someone shed light on the pros and cons of both hook ups?
i presently use a Bryston 4b st amp to drive Magnepan 1.6 speakers. Would it be better to purchase another 4B st or two mono blocks? Will I hear a sonic difference?
 Thanks

As a general principle, my view is that you are better off bi-wiring a more powerful amp than bi-amping with two smaller amps.

Can you bridge the Bryston into mono mode?
IMO, it’s hard to properly bi-amp any speaker.  You pretty much need an active crossover to get the proper power distribution.

If it can be bridged, it is very unlikely that it can be used with the Magnepan 1.6. As a general rule, a bridged amp requires a speaker with 8 ohms minimum even if it can drive 4 ohms in stereo mode.
