Modify Bluesound Vault Album Names with Metadata Editor

I haven't used a generic one although there is one with Exact Copy software.  Try Googling it and see what come up. 

only thing that comes up on google is Exact Audio Copy - a CD duplicator...

Not sure if you're still looking but when I asked Bluesound they recommended Mp3tag (https://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html).  Works just fine for me since I picked up my Vault2 about 4 years ago.

Hi, llarry,I use MP3tag and it's very powerful, especially when you want to edit metatdata for more than one album at a time, for example, reformatting track numbers and names. It's also handy in finding errors in naming and numbering conventions. But it's not as easy to use as something like PerfectTUNES: https://www.dbpoweramp.com/perfecttunes.htm
PerfectTUNES is $36.00 USD but is worth it if you plan on editing a bunch of digital albums over time. The cover art and duplicate finder features can be useful.

I also have dBpoweramp, which provides some metadata editing as well as CD ripping and batch music file conversions. You can bundle it with PerfectTUNES  for $62.00 USD.

Tom & Driiddle.  While I appreciate the recommendation about MP3 tag, the website says they do not have a Mac version yet; only a Windows version. The Mac version is in Beta and I use a Mac. I’ll check out Perfecttunes. Thanks to you both. Enjoy the holidays. 

UPDATE. Since January/February, I was using the beta MP3tag for Mac trying to get a handle on how to use it efficiently. They have recently put it into full production. For me, it took a lot of reading on their forums, and playing around a lot, to learn how best to use it. It is a powerful editor and works well. Understanding the fields in the editor that get populated by the database, and how they translate in the Bluesound app’s categories proves a bit tricky. There are things that I have yet to figured out; like how to get the correct photo of the album cover to appear on both the editor and then the BS app; and some of the changes I make do not translate (I have yet to figure out why.)

For anyone with a classical music collection on the Vault (mine is fairly extensive) this editor is a “must have.” The vault’s software often puts the artist (the group or person playing the composer’s piece) in both the “Artist” and “Album artist” fields. So, unless the “Album title” field contains the composers name, you’ll never find it in a search or a category on the BS app. (Note that the “album artist” field should contain the name of the composer.) The “composer“ field is left blank, so nothing shows up under the BS app’s “composer” category. In addition, the BS software populates the “genre“ field using a wide range of broad categories and often incorrectly. The MP3tag software can correct all of this and, as I have come to learn, fairly easily. I have been having lots of fun making all these changes, and making the BS app much more efficient for my purposes. These issues hold true for genres like Jazz, so the tag editor works great for this as well.

All in all, I am extremely happy with both the MP3tag editor and the vault!

Wondering if dbpoweramp "perfect tunes" can be used to edit music files in the vault from a pc, wirelessly, or does the file have to dragged to the pc, edited, then dragged back to the vault?

I read somewhere in BS support that all files have to transferred wirelessly by " drag and drop"?
