I'm assuming that you are talking about horizontal in the axis of the tonearm. I'm not familiar with the project 1.2 arm, but if it is similar to the project 9 on my MMF 7, there may be an Allen screw hidden under the stem for the anti-skate mechanism. Just loosen it enough to be able to carefully roll the arm back and forth until you're happy with the alignment. This is allowing you to adjust the top pivot point on the vertical axis gimbal so there probably won't be much travel.
BTW, BEFORE you get into this double check that the needle is or is not perpendicular to the cartridge body. The implication is that many time this is not the case and the correct alignment may indeed have the cartridge body alittle off horizontal. So, try to go by the needle and not just the cartridge body. Tough to see! A better way to check maybe using the HFNRR LP.
