Wow!
I am lucky to had bought 4 spheres at a times where they were much cheaper.... Their effect is stronger in my controlled embedded audio system especially on top of my Sansui amplifier....This kind of jasper increase the imaging from my first use of them but now more audibly, i dont know why at all.... :)
i will give to you an example of use, the golden plate will give more meat to the sound but will slightly compress it, add kambaba jasper and you will keep the meat but you will erase the compression and reinforce the imaging....It is an example of complementary use of stones.... At the end with many kind of stones you keep only the positive.... This is really like an upgrade.... And better because of the low cost and sometimes it is more powerful than an upgrade because you can work all aspect of sound.......
I will never use a tube amplifier anymore.... when i hhave one i try plenty of tubes, with subtle changing colors in sound each time but that was very small and limited effects compared to my stones tweaking without speaking even of the controls of the 3 embeddings....
Except i dreamed to buy the tube ZOTL Berning amplifier but it is another story..... |
Most of the times people dont go in a finetuning process, and dont know how in the first place...
They upgrade after a long or short time moving the problem around half the time.... Upgrading is sometimes for the better for sure but when someone dont know how to optimize the S.Q. by his own means, often they forget about the sound and lives with the music and it is ok for sure....
But it is way more fun to improve, month after months, and at the end music comes from our own hands more than from a purchase that is often as illusory than it was good at first listen....So good they are any electronic component need to be rightfully embedded and no designer will like to say frankly to his customer : " you know my product is perfect but to listen to his optimal quality you must learn now how to embed it in your house"....Who would buy it thousand dollars, only to know that right out of the box the product is not at his better level of working order ? :)
The other reason is after all the electronic designer of an amplifier or a dac or of the speakers are not acoustician, physicist or electrician, and dont live in your particular house and room....They are interested in designing not in the embedding so much....Design is an idealized standardization process, acoustic of someone room is more an individualized subtle embedding process, not reducible to standardization....
After the acoustic the same is true for the particular electrical grid of your house and for the general mechanical resonance controls problem...Any electronic component vibrate and affect the other E.C. and all the audio system is affected by the vibrations in his neighborhood... These are the 3 embeddings problems to solve.....The more important fact in audio.... It is simple but nobody on any forums explained it clearly to me and I read thousand of hours to understand.....I want to be clear myself and dissipate the upgrading myths.....
For sure many reviewers speak about some products dedicated to one of these 3 embeddings times to times...They called that a tweak....But this is a long way to understand the 3 embeddings problems, in fact no one can solve that problem with a tweak or even with a few tweaks....We must be systematic....No reviewers would be invited to speak about something at all if they dared to say the truth: the embeddings of your audio system are way more impactful in your experience of Hi-Fi than the upgrading purchase of only one electronic component in general most of the times (speakers, amp or dac).... This is the upgrading myth.... :)

Where Kambaba jasper can makes things sometimes better....
I put a 200 gram sphere on top of my Sansui with the 150 micro H.D. and the very small "golden plate"... Before I tried an agate that gives me more meat in the sound, but I want more details then I replace agate with a Black tourmaline big chunk with success...After a while I tried my Jasper Kambaba sphere and Bang! the imaging and bass frequencies were better with keeping details and air around the sound given to me by the H.D....
This an example of experimental listening ending in a success.... :)
Cost: peanuts.... Goal: tweaking the sound toward the superior potential level...... Results: more beautiful music with great fun experimenting with the master’s ears.... :)
Nota Bene:
Kambaba jasper is known by me for the last 5 years, this stone improve the frequencies perception like tourmaline for example but with a potent working on the imaging perception more than on the timbre perception only, like tourmaline....
Some people reading my many posts here can think that I go forward and backward alternatively with the sound quality without knowing too much what I do...This will be wrong, I know what I do after all those years of experiments and past some experiments where some trade-off are mandatory, the general trend is a cumulative positive progression in S.Q. for at least the last 2 years in a very audible way, each stones complementing some other one....I know the working of 20 stones at least and play with them very well in various way toward the optimal way....
Then this last experiment help me to finetune my amplifier, already tweaked with stones.....This was a success....These methods are so efficient and subtle then I learn and discover each week.....Finetuning is a process not a single experiment....

Adding new stones
Over the Sansui AU 7700 Amplifier transformer I already have many stones: tourmaline pieces, amethysts, agate... I put a very little "golden plate" (because a bigger one can kill the sound then beware) and with it I added 150 micro Herkimer diamonds.... That gives me more depth in the imaging and a better natural timbre.... :)
Herkimer diamonds and shungite in the "golden plate" are the most useful stones for audio, over tourmaline, agate, quartz, and all others I used too...

Updates: "cones bells connected grids"...
The last tweak is the connection with thin copper tape of the 2 series of 9 cones bells (9 with 3 Herkimer diamond inside) each side of my computer screen that is exactly between my speakers (2 inches in front of them)...The connection make the cones bells more powerful in clarity S.Q. in regular distance and in nearfield more immersive....
The same effects were audible with the 11 vertical connected cone bells horizontally aligned on the wall a few feets over my left speakers, and with the 13 connected cones bells vertically aligned a few inches near the right speaker on the wall adjacent....Herkimer diamond inside 1/3 of them and in some case red tourmaline under the H.D.
I had another grids at my right on the shelves of some furniture and on the wall behind me.... But these grids instantiate a lesser audible effects....
This cones bells connected grids on par with the 10 Schumann generator and with the 20 Helmholtz bottles to ACTIVELY modify the acoustics and even better than my 50 cheap resonators...But remember that any upgrading effects of my controls tweaks are cumulative....If someone try something in a nude dead room the effect can be less powerful, because ALL my audio grid is now very able to communicate any slight modification... My 3 embeddings were already advanced in modification controls already in my room before the connected cones bells grids...But the connected cones bells are so astonishing I must use superlatives....
Most people think that for changing acoustic we must buy costly PASSIVE materials.... This is half truth, especially in small non- symmetrical room.... In this kind of room ACTIVE controls methods are mandatory....Buy nothing, think before, and use low cost materials and first and foremost your EARS.....Your ears will teach you, trust them, nobody else....

An important note about my last experiments:
The reader must remember that my audio system is very sensible to changes because it is already heavily and rightfully embedded to some degree... Then the audible effects I described will vary from one audio system to another.... But the reader must begins by the simplest embeddings: the mechanical resonance controls.... After that he can try the electrical house controls embeddings step by step and the acoustical one....
The acoustical embeddings is the more complex for me, because there is a passive way, the classical way to use materials to absorb or reflect the sound, but the active way are more powerful( Helmholtz bottles, modified Schumann Generators, various resonators, bell of bells, grid of connected bell cones of different size, stones and crystals) and also necessary to transform ANY room....For the electrical embeddings controls I use mostly stones and crystals and my 30 marvellous "golden plate" around all electrical utility, be it a router, a wall plug, or a conditioner, the computer, the phone box, the electrical panels etc....

The mystery is astonishing indeed... Why thin copper tape around cones bells can produce this powerful clarification of the imaging in the first place? Particularly spectacular in nearfield listening but also in regular position...

Dear reader remember this: the acoustical embeddings is the most important fact in audio.....Most of us dont know that...
The proof is simple.... For example, I know very well that some cables sound very different with one another....But the difference is minute compared to any changing controls in the 3 embeddings.... I then conclude with all these discussions about cables that people dont know much in Audio improvement at all because their fixation in favor or against changing cables is an indication of their own limitations....The rightful embeddings exceed any changes of cables, or often even of gear....And the acoustical embeddings is so powerful that it is only on par with the exchange of a low piece of gear to a very refine one....Nothing less....

I added a copper tape ribbon to the first one linking the 5 crystals cannon in each grid the horizontal and the vertical one...More realism and more presence and more details, more dynamic...I will post a new photo in the next day in my "virtual system" page...
After the "golden plates", the modified Schumann generators, the connected crystals cannons, the cones bells grids, the bells of bells, the stones grid, the multiple resonators, the Helmholtz bottles, my delirium touch the end of my journey I think....
How far can we go with a better sound without changing an electronic component?
I never imagine that my dac, amp, and speakers would sound so good ever in my life when I bought them....I was dreaming to upgrade them few weeks after buying them because all forums and thread says the same thing like a chorus, the costly it gets the better it is.... This is more than false, it is a myth created by advertising and ignorance about the three embeddings necessities in any audio serious endeavour....For sure my system does not sound like a million bucks system, but for the price Boy! not so far behind, and way more closer than you think.... And I know that my photos look like trash..... :)
My goal is in my own hands and I touch it.... Homemade low cost methods are all that is necessary to afford Hi-Fi....

UPDATE about the "Connected cones bells grids"
This is my latest homemade tweaks and I must say very amazing... How do we define "naturalness" in S.Q. ? Naturalness is elusive like many audio sensation, but anyway a real sensation...This sensation gives you the final taste, the taste of the real presence, this taste is a drug with no possible detoxification... This is the ultimate S.Q.....
This is an "elusive" quality, because you can think that you have it without having it really in the flesh...The sign and symptom of his actuality is some connection with the music that cannot be severed....The feeling that it cannot be better.... But is it the end? Geoffkait says that we are most of the times always in some base camp all along the road and not on the apex of the mountain....At first I was thinking that he was mocking me, but I now think that it was only clue... :)
How in the world connecting with 2 bands of 2 feet copper tape, 2 grids of 5 cones bells, can gives me that quality more than any other controls tweaks?
I dont know, perhaps this modification come after a number of other cumulative changes and it reach a threshold...( for example the 7 "golden plates" I added around my computer, one week ago, were a big step but not enough to gives me on their own that "naturalness")
Trust your ears and listen, go with them, because no others will transform you for the better except those 2 friends and magical mentors ….

My last experiment is a success but I cannot understand why... :)
Sometimes the things I invent makes sense, sometimes not, but never mind if they work....
I linked with 2 thin copper band tape (2 feet long) all 5 big cones3/8 inch in my 2 main grids of cone bells , the one vertically and the one horizontally... Result: an imaging and a clarity way better....Spectacular and absolutely surprizing...I will take a photo in few days and put it in my"virtual system" page
This cost me nothing and gives me, in nearfield and regular position, an imaging better than what I ever experienced in the past days ...
Hi-Fi cost nothing.....Only listening and acoustical imagination and creativity.... Trust your ears not the ads....
And if your amplifier is good already, trust me, he's better than anything you ever thought of him.... Same about your dac…. Embed it and dont buy anything before that....

In the last week I refined the "grid of cones bells" with the "crystal cannons" idea and also by adding Herkimer diamonds of different size to the red tourmaline stones at the center of the big brass cones 3/8 inch that are horizontally located in front of me at my right on the wall and near the ceiling, and also vertically near the right speakers on the wall …

The reader must understand that the best improvement come with experiments and listening….The big idea dont come in one fell swoop perfect and without defect....All my ideas are complementing one another and compensating one another.... The end result for example tonight is out of this world in clarity compared to the past days or months... I never listen to a better sound in near listening and in a regular listening position on all counts: bass, higher clear frequencies, details, dynamic, soundstage more wide, imaging more precise....
These improvements are not free and comme with my cumulating experience for example with the properties of the different materials I use...
This evening I also create a new idea , a very simple one....I will speak about it later.... Because it is powerful, easy to made, but almost all people here must think that I am crazy.... And this is crazier....
Silence in this thread is a testimony for the total ignorance of their own potential and lack of confidence of people in their own listening power....
I know, I was like that 7 years ago, dreaming to buy costly gear to create Hi-Fi experience, trusting all this marketing lines about audio...
Lack of money luckily makes me more creative and at the end not only successful but more happy...I dream sometimes again to buy the costly Berning ZOTL, but like someone who already owns the best car in America dream sometimes to buy a Ferrari....It is no more a frustration, only a curiosity.... :)

Update:
The sound was too bended towards the higher frequencies... I glued a red tourmaline chunk in the center and on top of it a H.D. on 2 of the bell cones in my grid and that was better.... Conclusion: experiment and listen....

UPDATE: 10 new brass cap cone 3/8 inch distributed in horizontal and a vertical grid of bells cones...
I replace all tourmaline stones center with Herkimer diamonds... They are more powerful for clarity....
The red tourmaline push "heavy meat around the bones", but the H.D. gives me more clarity in the higher spectrum... each stones can be used with success relatively to your room and particular audio system....
In general Herkimer diamond even the micro and nano one are very powerful stones.... The most powerful with the shungite and very complementary...

It is amazing how good a very well designed dac is for retrieving and translating details to a good amplifier, and how good is a good one for transmiting that information to the speakers...How good, good speakers are is also surprizing....
I can say that because in my own experience , my dac and amplifier and speakers has amazed me totally in the last weeks...
Why?
Because when I bought them, these 3 actual components few years ago, I was not so flabbergasted by them like today....The reason is simple, without the controls of their 3 embeddings these 3 E.C. worked way under their own potentials....
All these last acoustical active tweaks controls propelled them to an another level....
The acoustician know much more about Hi-Fi S.Q. than the electronical engineer indeed....This is my motto.....
Your ears then know much more than a measuring device....
But only a fool will put aside the experience of the electronic engineer for sure…. But in life there exist priorities....That is my point....
Acoustics of the room is the most important feature of an audio system, especially not only the passive controlling ways, but mostly the much less known active controlling ways....

UPDATE about the "Crystal Cannons"
After 2 hours without interruption of the Jordi Savall viol, playing the marvellous Sainte Colombe music, I am amazed by all the details and dynamic that the C.C. (crystals cannons) added to the acoustical field of the room....
All solutions to acoustic controls are way more simple than people think....
Dare to experiment and have fun.... No need for any money....

My dear friends, trying to improve the clarity, I just create a new powerful tweak "the crystal cannon"....
I take a big brass cone cap 3/8 inch and glued in it a stick of lemurian quartz 1 1/2 inch... I add these 4 to the horizontal "grid of bells cones" and to the vertical one, 2 "crystals cannons" on each grids...
Dynamic increase and clarity....
Heaven is with me indeed....I will add photos probably tomorrow in my "virtual system" page....

UPDATE for the 3/8 inch brass cap cones
I recuperate some Herkimer diamonds (2) and 4 sticks of quartz to replace 6 of the 10 tourmaline chunks in the center of the cones for a better clarity.... Success.... :)

10 new brass cap cone 3/8 inch+ red tourmaline in the center, for my grids of bells Wow! Nothing is perfect even when you think it was! I now have 3 size of bells cones with some Herkimer diamonds in some...The 3 size compensate well one with another ... The bigger last 10 gives me a better timbre and a more wide soundstage without decreasing the dynamic nor the imaging.... Another UPDATE about the "grids of bells"
When your room treatment and other embeddings are rightfully controlled, the reactivity and feed back of any change is very great indeed...
After 2 days of listening after all my last modifications, I was not totally satisfied, I add to 2 of the 10 new bells 2 tiny Herkimer diamonds,3 mm wide, guess what?
The effect was incredible and the sound quality , timbre and imaging, was now perfect to my ears....
Think about that mystery: 2 tiny pieces of H.D. of 3 millimeters inserted in 5 millimeters cones bells, and it was like I upgrade my amplifier or if I bought another dac….The reason is because my room is almost near optimal sound rendition and any little modification can degrade or improve the sound greatly....
In a regular room 2 cones on a wall with or without H.D. will not be perceived at all or very little....Dont forget that if you want to emulate my controls methods.... This is a journey not a "one action solve all " methods.... The 3 embeddings controls are interlinked totally.... Any small change in one, at the end gives a spectacular effect….

I added my last 5 cones to the horizontal line of cones near the ceiling front wall(relative to my sitting position) and I added another 5 to the vertical line on the wall near one of my speakers...
Amazing increase in details...

second UPDATE about the 6 " golden plates" near my computer:
The silky smooth velvety impressions around the timbre is addictive...In my 2 positions, nearfield or regular, all is so different and so marvellous I dont know where to seat... :)
I order the last 12 shungite plates from my Russian provider....It was the last set for 50 Us dollars..... Peanuts for the results....And I had some other locations to treat more drastically....

What can I say?
I added 6 new "golden plates" (shungite+copper tape) 5mm stick, 10centimeters square, I glued them on a cardboard plate and I put the shungite side against the computer...
The clarity increase again an another notch then the imaging also....
If I was a business man I would sell that like an audiophile product....But It is free idea coming from a fool, cheap cost... :)
I will not say more, I only talk to myself, but it is not so bad if I think about that....

I added 2 new group of 5 bells on walls parallell and perpendicular to the speakers, one group horizontally disposed at the level of my ears the other group vertically...

If I want to resume the lessons of this thread in a few words:
The first law, which is the most fundamental audiophile law: " Dont upgrade before embedding it"
Second law:" There exist 3 embeddings dimensions" : MECHANICAL(resonance-vibrations), ELECTRICAL (noise level of any links and general noise floor of the house), ACOUSTICAL ( the known passive standard way and the underestimated active ways)
Third law: "The more uplifting upgrading effects are most of the time linked to the controls of the embeddings dimensions, except most of the times if you go to a higher rung with a purchase of E.C."
Fourth law: " All electronic components (E.C.) roughly are distributed on a 3 rungs scale of ratio quality/price, and the S.Q. ratio decrease or increase in a non linear way with these 3 steps, (low, medium, high or a Gaussian with a non normal distribution if you wish)"
Fifth law: " Any upgrade with a new E.C. on the same rung as a past E.C. will result most of the time in a low increase of S.Q. only, compared to a more rightful way to embed the components"
Sixth law: " Then dont upgrade before rightly embedding them"
then this circle of laws is closed....
All that is only my experience and I tried to communicate it clearly....You can criticize... :)

The "Golden Stick" 6 inches by 1/4 inch wide shungite stick with 3 sides masked with copper tape...
I cannot put a "golden plate" near my dac, then I solved the problem with the golden stick....Guess what : improvement in clarity....Cost 15 bucks...

I will think that I must try by myself some of these controls tweaks about these 3 embeddings...
But I speak about myself, a man at the same time gullible, naïve, and sceptic and investigative....Yes I am a paradoxal man, but wait, in the first time it is better to believe, and in the second time, it is better to investigate, then creating some alternative dynamic movement ...Gullible persons only and sceptics only, are all at the end of their journey STATIC dogmatic minds ….

"Golden Plates" UPDATE :
I add 4 all along my electrical line: one under the Hard drive bank which have only a little one, 2 on the router of the house(total of 3 now), and finally another bigger one on the electrical main panel of the house(which has many of them) and the results is easy to hear: more refined bass and better timbre and bigger imaging ...I was so enthralled with my Bell of Bells and my other little grid of bells(on speakers, on the walls and on my computer screen) that I had forgot the impactful "golden plates".... :)

Improvement for peanuts and each month passing the acquired experience that made me think that what is very illusory in Audio experience are the different electronic components upgrading effects versus the underestimated and more powerful effects created by the controls of the 3 embeddings... Today it was the electrical field acted upon with my "golden plates", yesterday it was the little cones or bells + Herkimer diamonds( on 20% of them)...
The only embedding I had not modified in the last 2 years is the mechanical resonance dimensions... With my heavy load on speakers +my sorbothane +granite+quartz+bamboo+cork plates... That is already so good I dont add anything more... In the years to come I will add a bed of quartz sand....But for now the heavy organ sound dont even give me any sensation at all with my finger on the desk...Not perfect at all, but good indeed...

My latest innovation involves vibration dissipation for cassettes. Pretty cool. I call it The Cassette Mystery Tweak. I have a Mystery Tweak for CDs too. I don’t tell anyone what they are because then they wouldn’t be a mystery would they? 🤗

Update:
I added some 10 tiny Alaskans bowls or bells 9/32 inch or 7mm on the wall to my right and left...
Improvement in timbre and imaging.... 2 are with Herkimer diamond inside for balancing the others...
I will install 50 more in few weeks.... :)

Musical sound waves bouncing back in a room are more akin to " a language", a temporary living quasi-crystals, than to only a mechanical random phenomena...The sound is like a sensible equation, made visible for the eyes, like the wind on undulating grass... Imagine that if you put some 3/8 inch resonant bowls, on some critical points on the walls of a room, the pattern of the musical sound waves are now less blurred and present to the ears some clearer image where the waves are more clearly perceived, like undulating flags on a flowing river.... I guess Fourier analysis will be useful.... :)
Note: some bowl are empty some with an Herkimer diamond like 2 kind of flags on the flowing frequencies river.... But my analogy dont explain how the resonant bowl affect the flowing waves themselves and not only mark up the turbulent flows for the ears....

I now has proven to myself many times that at low cost I can transform completely the sound in my room.... I made it many times and at each times in a positive increasing way...
Why the 4 micro Herkimer diamonds I just added to 4 cones , 2 hours ago, suffice to completely increase tonal accuracy and imaging is so astounding, that I dont really have explanations.... The grid of cones plays like tags on flowing waves yes, but why, for example ,these last four 7 millimeter pieces of rocks (H.D.) inside 4 cones moves so much the S.Q. in an increasing way is beyond me.... :)
My grid of cones, 2 size of cones, is composed now of 70 pieces around speakers and walls....Less than half with Herkimer diamonds for balancing effects...Total cost including H.D. is around 45 bucks...

The key is to balance empty cones with the one with Herkimer diamond....And using two different size of cones …
The ears decide.... And with a little experiment it is easy to touch the optimal balancing locations between those.... Between my speakers, all around the computer screen is a magical spot...All along the drivers of my 2-way Mission is a magical spot....And With "the Bell of bells" and his 2 layered cones of 2 different size, in the center of my room, the sound has never been so good in all listening positions, nearfield or regular... :)
Piano for tonal accuracy listening, or vibraphone+ piano....Orchestra is good for imaging accuracy.....Tabla for dynamics....
The truth of the experiment is that 2 micro H.D. in a micro cones of 7 mm or 9332 inch can completely change the S.Q. in a room.... Why?
The only explanation for me is that our ears and the room are one, and the cones are like " steady tags" on a wave flows feedback swirling around the room through which the " Brain Fourier analysis computer" read more easily.... This is only metaphor not science ,I use that metaphor to convey my guiding idea behind my experiments...The grid of cones stabilize for the brain the recognizing process of competing sounds waves between the obstructing distorsion created by the topology of the room accidents...

I just ordered 80 little Herkimer diamonds, smaller than the one I already own, to balance my new micro cones... :) ( around 10 bucks)
All is perfect like it is now but something say in me that I will increase the S.Q. with some of the new cones if I add in them H.D. of the require size... Less than 0.1 gram each....
Balancing the effects is one of the KEY to tone accuracy....And I must try because of the improving results when I added some H.D. inside some of the Alaskan regular cones.... Some of these empty little cones screams to me.... :)

UPDATE :
"Bell of bells" and new nano brass cones...
I add twelve 7mm 9/32 inch cones(instead of the 3/8 inch one) On my computer screen between the speakers... And another set of 12 around the upper circumference part of the "Bell of bells" where there is already in the downward part of the circumference the bigger Alaskan cones...
These micro bells are so little that I cannot put in some of them my nano Herkimer diamonds... :) But it is not necessary with them like with the Alaskan bigger one...I must confess here that this experiment with this smaller cones bells is an accident.... I dont order them in the first place.... :) It is an happy mishap... But ttey complement perfectly well the regular plain Alaskan cones or the one with the H.D. inside them...
Results:
The difference in size plays all along the frequencies, more definite and accurate frequencies , especially in the higher frequencies, cleaner, more refined, and also with the bass....
The imaging is better....The piano tone accuracy cannot lie.... :)
I am flabbergasted another time, I think I could not add to the last days results, I was dead wrong...
Most of us DONT know at all what our Audio system is able to do in the right acoustical space...
Reading all these posts about audio on all threads only confirm my experience:
Most people dont know first hand that the embeddings of any Audio System is the ONLY key to Hi Fi....Not a more costly dac or amplifier, or even better speakers most of the times...The cost in relation to the improving S.Q. decrease swiftly... Simple cheap homemade solutions on the other hand has a ratio cost/ S.Q. over the roof....
Mostly the acoustical embeddings controls count for around 60 % of the S.Q. 15 % for mechanical resonance controls, and 25 % for electrical grid controls...It is an approximation of my actual increasing experience...
The reason is simple: the acoustical field of the room is TOTALLY integrated to our hearing brain, they are ONE and the same sensible system, amplifying the other 2 embeddings field modifications if you try them or any upgrade of electronic components (most of the times unnecessary)… :)

A new tool for acoustical field of my room:
The " Bell of bells"...
I just create it ...
I use a brass little bell that I attach and hang to a rope in the center of my room...
Around this bell I glued 16 little bells (Alaskan brass cones3/8 inch) with half of them with an Herkimer micro diamond glued in them...It is very important to balance half the cones with diamond (half of them)…This balancing compensate the bass frequencies and high frequencies with one another...The result is a better tone accuracy....
This device makes my ears spirals( by some internal Fourier analysis by the brain) able to decode from the feedback waves and reconstruct more easily, in spite of the room intricacies, an optimal tone and imaging ....I am not a scientist tough, I just want to transmit my impressions and communicate my own understanding....
The results (for 10 bucks) are ASTOUNDING....
More accuracy for tone and better imaging...
All my solutions cost nothing or are chap and very effective....This one takes the cake....
My goal is top Hi-Fi for the poor....Trust me it is possible.... If you are newcomers, try, experiment, and step by step, create your own heaven with the only master there is: your ears....No money needed....No upgrade advice here.... Start with what you already owned if this is good basic gear....
An amplifier that was top of the world gear in 1978 is even today a good amplifier, mine is.... Same thing for the speakers.... My only contemporary electronic component is a dac…. A very good one (Starting Point Systems Nos tda 1543) I will never upgrade it because of his minimalistic design and cost....
Remember that I can hear very subtle changes in my audio room because all my embeddings (mechanical, electrical and acoustical) are already very controlled...Go with yours step by steps....

I had put 41 Alaskans brass cones... 4 left to be use...The last 2 were put on my computer screen between speakers ( I now have 4 at the 4 corners)...

With Helmuth Walcha Bach interpretation, never listened to with this wave of tonal details in a more precise imaging and a more vast soundstage I go upper into heaven than the day before...
Without asking the permission of my wife for this stupendous cash investment in audio, I bought another set of 15...
At the end I will put 60 cones in my room...40 $ all in all....
The next ignorant that call anything "snake oil" will be put to death by me... Because this " ignorabimus" will spread for the X’th times the tale that these speakers, or this dac, or this amplifier, are so good out of the box that is all we need to know nothing else....Marketing ploy are the real snake oil, because selling products without explaining how to embed them is near fraud... But I must be less harsh, because these engineers and vendors dont know themselves most of the times what to do....Read any audio magazine, they dont explain simply the problem....90% of people dont have a clue about the real S.Q. of their actual system because they are even not rightfully embed at all in the mechanical, electrical, and acoustical fields, ......
Why people bought anything without experimenting first with low cost materials is out of me.... But if I remember I was like that myself most part of my audio life. Nobody ever insist on the importance of this, they speak mostly and exclusively about the quality of their favorite electronical components. :)
I understand only now (the last 2 years), and I should say like said Christ in his last audio meeting: " Forgive them, they dont know what they do"
