I used to have an all Mac setup based around the 275 as a second system. I also owned the VSM-MM which were in my main system. I bought new main speakers and moved the Merlins into my Mac based second system. The Merlins performed alright with the Macs but they lost a touch of their quickness and air. I would not describe the combo as a disappointment, but I felt that something was missing with the combo. Please keep in mind that the Merlins that I use to own are now a couple of generations older than the new VMX, which I understand are a significant upgrade. Good luck.
