The EtherRegen and Optical Module are not my fav. I tried both. Get a Sonore OpticalRendu instead. I have 3 of these for each of my DACs. Last oR cost me $200 and a trade of an EtherRegen, which I was going to send to recycling.
Meitner MA3 DAC enhanced with fiber optic connection?
I have a Meitner MA3 connected via an Ethernet Connection in my wall that connects to my home network as wired when my house was build. I use JPlay to interface with the Meitner. My incoming Fiber connection for my house is located in the room right next to my dedicated listening room. I have the option of running a fiber optic cable from that incoming router to where my DAC is located. I am wondering if MA3 owners have seen any benefit running products like EtherRegn or Sonora Optical Module. I seen one review on-line that indicates that the Meitner does a really good job of filtering the network connection and some people have seen no improvement in sound using these solutions.
