Instead of the 2002, try the MC7200, which is a non-autoformer amp, and a good one. I've owned them both, still own the 7200.
mcintosh owners - need your help
i need a mcamp to go with a c34v mcpre. my speakers are ohm walsh 2's (updated, and i love em). majority seems to lean toward the autoformer amps, but with a c34v, do i really need more "warmth"? wouldn't a non-autoformer amp like a mc2002 be a better fit imaging-wise in that it's relatively "clearer"?
