@dagda,

He certainly sounds like a right wing nut job to me and that is why I made the statement. I tried to be a little nicer about saying it so my post wouldn’t get deleted again.

@urbanwarrior69 ,

thanks for the clarification, now it makes sense to me.  I know all about pain meds, I take 3 a day myself. Be well.

@urbanwarrior69 ,

I am curious as to why this thread has brought much joy, kindly enlighten me.

Trusting that “You Tube guy” with anything audio is the same as people trusting the Facebook persons with their Covid information. I LOVE every piece of McIntosh equipment I own. It sounds fantastic with my speakers in my 2 rooms and that is all that counts to me. Resale value is off the charts, in 2017 I bought a used McIntosh MA6600 Integrated, it looked brand new and it could have fooled me. That same amp is selling on eBay now for $6500. I paid $3200 for my mint piece with the 2 shipping cartons and a brand new remote. I liked the amp so much I bought 5 more Mac pieces within a 6 month period, all from Audio Classics

Say what you want but I know I can always get my money back and then some should I have a desire to sell any of the Mac, which I won’t. Doubtful there are many other brands that will hold their value as well as McIntosh where you can double what you paid for it.  oldhvymec said it best though and I feel the same

@laoman ,

The Asian market for McIntosh is doing very well.  They sell a lot of units worldwide, and 50% of their products are shipped to other countries.  The factory has been running two shifts for a couple of years and the wait time for product is anywhere from 5-9 months.

Perhaps we need Starfleet’s universal translator.  It can translate over 30,000 different languages😂😂

@kaplandesign ,

Did you ever own any Mac or is that your blanket statement?  Just what do you have?

@teppas,

Before I bought my MA6600, I had a Rogue Cronus Magnum integrated, a Classe’ CAP150 integrated and a Parasound Halo integrated. The MA6600 is 100% better sounding than any of the other 3 integrated amps I had previously. I bought mine used from Audio Classics at $3200. I see one sold recently for $5400. I lost money on the other 3 integrateds I had previously. The MA6600 is a keeper. I forgot I also had a Yaquin integrated, but that caught fire within a few days of ownership and it was purchased brand new. Threw it in the trash.

Why is this thread still going?  Moderators should close it as nothing more constructive will come from this.

I wouldn’t do business with this guy even if he was the only person who sold audio. Looks like he does more harm than good. He would make a great used car or cable salesman.

I don't care what anyone says or thinks, I love each and every piece of McIntosh equipment I own.  It sounds great, makes me happy and I no longer futz with my system.  I just listen to music which relaxes me.  Many of you aren't happy and constantly futz with your system, doesn't leave much time for listening, does it?

@twoleftears,

And………..Your point? They make a clock and a sign and that invalidates the brand?  What really is your point here, are you lusting for the clock or sign and can’t find one? Or, are you nitpicking a 75 year old American Company and one of the most successful companies in all of Audio?   Your attempt at humor is lame at best.  Try again.

He reminds me of the guy who said Sandy Hook was a hoax. He has all the appeal of ear wax, yet there are people who love him. Why, I do not know.

They haven’t used point to point wiring since the invention of the printed circuit board.

@troidelover1499 ,99% of solid state gear regardless of price uses PCB.  FYI, not everyone embraces tubes.  What high quality equipment do you have?
