Mcintosh amp stock pwr cord only 4 ft???

This is absurd. Why do they do this?

so now i need new longer power cords. Any idea without spending hundreds on new 8 or 10 ft cords.

Better build quality than the cheap OE PC and I do not have to sell my motorcycle and boat to buy them.
