The OP meant ESL. "D" is right next the "S" on the keyboard.

I have an opportunity to purchase a pair of Martin Logan EDL speakers and Martin Logan subwoofer. The are fom 2009, but have not been used in past 5 years. When I plugged them in, one has a loud hum. Sounds to be coming from the bix with the woofer. Any ideas what would cause this, and if it can be fixed?
