Mark levinson no.32 preamp can’t be fully power up

Hello,

i recently run into a problem with my Mark Levinson No.32 preamp due to A friend who loaned me a pair of original mark levinson DC cables to try on my no32. So I removed my original DC cables that was working fine and put on his, right after I installed his cables then push the power button 5 seconds later it showed RIGHT CHANNEL  NC on the controller read out.

So I started to power it down and waited 10 seconds then power it up again and it still shows RIGHT CHANNEL  NC ( is it means ‘no connections’ ?). Then I removed his pair of DC cables out and put back my original pair and still shows the same read out RIGHT CHANNEL NC. I have tried moving the DC cables from left to right and right to left and still shows RIGHT CHANNEL NC.

I decided to unscrewed one of the DC wire connector pin plug and see what’s going on. I had found out one of the connector false proof metal oval piece was inserted in a wrong way when they screwed it back on and now the DC cable pins are not matching. So I believed that might have been trigger it.

Now my no.32 is not working anymore because whenever I tried to power up. it will said RIGHT CHANNEL NC.🙁😞

Due to putting in a pair of defective DC cables:

Will it burns the DC boards?
Will it burns up the fuse?

what did it affect to have RIGHT CHANNEL NC  read out?

Please advise or any solutions will help, what I need to do next beside sending in for service.

Thanks

Mac

It sounds like the bad cable may have pushed the connection so that now its not making contact < check the physical connection carefully. Open the machine and examine the plug. make sure plug is not damaged and all pins are in order.
