Marantz CD6004 anybody using this player

I have heard this player and while it sounds pretty nice, for the same money you can find a used Marantz SA-8001 that has better redbook playback and SACD playback. If you have never heard SACD, do yourself a favor. This, of course, is just my opinion.

The SA-8001 doesnt have the new CS4398 DAC in it so will it sound as good and yes i prefer just redbook playback in a cd player. Have heard SACD just never got into it.

I owned the SA-8001 and it was very good on both SACD and Redbook. Three brass footers helped. I had to double the $$ to eclipse it. Went to the Lector CDP 0.7t
