Main Stream, from Vera-fi Audio

Their newest product, called “Main Stream” might be their most powerful yet.  It is a plug-in filter that increases the blackness of one’s system by eliminating interference from other sources in your house.  This description is admittedly inadequate, and many products talk about blackness in attempts to get closer to sounds captured in real space in which they were made.  I can’t think of any other product that improves recorded music as dramatically as Main Stream.  If you have other Vera-fi products, think of Main Stream as laying the foundation for their many contributions.  An amazing accomplishment, in my opinion, that must be tried, to be believed.

I love these things. I have two sets of the Mainstream + Snubway combos and use them at each end of my system—one for my front end and one for my amps. Just like it’s advertised and you’ve read about. I was skeptical and tried one, then followed that with a second set. Amazing how much “noise” is filtered out and how the combo helps to let your system breathe.

If I was just getting into this hobby and know what I know now, the two areas I’d focus on first would be room acoustics and power delivery. Get those right, or as right as possible, and you’ll be a happy camper.
