I was at a dealer picking up my 3.7's this past spring. I listened to the demo that was set up. I listened with and without the sub.
I sounded good without the sub, but if it was me I would want the sub.

I have auditioned this system in the past. Both w/ and w/o the sub-panel, sounded fine. The caveat here is that this system is a very near field listening experience. Too close for my taste, but, some audiophiles like it. Overall, an innovated system and perfect for computer audio applications.

Thank you both. I just set up the three piece system on my desktop and love it. Good to know there are some options too.
