Lumin D2 with SBooster

Hi,

I recently got a demo D2 and was blown away. The amount of detail it offers while still sounding as good or even better than my VPI Scout Prime is just crazy. I've been trying to decide whether to keep the D2 and add an SBooster or just sell it and get the T2. I've read everything I can find but there is not much out there regarding the D2 with the SBooster and how it compares to the T2. Does it get close enough etc... There were quite a few discussion on here about it but every time I click on it to read , it says the discussion has been removed. Is this a taboo topic? Well regardless if anyone could chime in and offer an opinion I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Thanks tuberist I really appreciate the input. I am also a fan of tubes and run a Rogue Cronus Magnum 3. The CM3 and D2 combo really puts out some wonderful sounding tunes. I've heard the D2 gets very close to the T2 with the SBooster upgrade but I've also read that even with the upgrade the T2 is still in another league. So your thoughts as a T2 owner are really helpful.

Thanks again!

I have owned a T2 a couple of years and I’m very happy with it. For the extra cost adding the linear power supply to a D2 I would just bite the bullet and go for the T2. I was in the same quandary you are describing and I’m very happy I went with the T2. It has a very open and spacious sound with great dynamics ability. It does not sound etched or digital to me but I use tube amplification
