LRS Jumper upgrade

It was mentioned in a previous post (I believe by douglas_schroeder) to consider replacing the stock Magnepan jumper with thick gauge multi-strand copper wire (who was also careful to mention possible warranty violations).

The other thing mentioned was to make the jumper replacement a bit longer.

Does anyone have experiences/suggestions on doing this?
