I received the new Kurt Rosenwinkel LP the other day. It was recorded at the Village Vanguard in NYC, released on Heartcore records out of Berlin, and shipped from Poland, where it was probably pressed. It sounds fantastic.
LPs pressed in Czech Republic
I spent a few hours in my neighborhood record store recently and I noticed that many of the pressings said Czech Republic on the plastic wrapping. I bought a new copy of Dead Can Dance “spiritchaser” that was pressed there, and it sounds glorious. It’s dead quite, has great depth and breath to the soundstage and excellent dynamics. Is anyone else noticing more new pressings from Czech Republic, and if so, is my experience with this DCD record a one-off or a trend?
