LPS for Verizon Fios Router

I want to use LPS on my Verizon Fios Router. The stock 2.5mm DC cable is too large so bought a 2.1mm and still too large. Does anyone know the DC cable size?

I'd be interested to know if the LPS makes a difference. There is a UK company offering a wall wart with integrated battery, for power outages. I wonder if that would be another tack. B
