LPS for Martin Logan ESL 9: Will it make a difference to the sound?

I acquired an sBooster LPS for my Lukaschek PP1 phono (Clearaudio Concept TT). It made a discernible difference to the sound from the TT. I noticed in documentation from sBooster that they provide a LPS specifically for ML ESL 9's. Question is: Is it worth it and will it make a noticable difference to the sound? Given the cost is circa USD 330 each.

I'm sure your ESL9's sound great.

Haven't heard them but with the reworked woofer arrangement, low end performance must be improved compared to Theos. I use 2 subs to make up for their bass shortcomings.

Sbooster can improve in certain situations, as you've experienced. In this case, expectation bias, if anything? This hobby/obsession is supported by it, so perhaps it will help😂🤣!!

Years of living with the Theos, I still hear moments of greatness from them.

If I do stick with panels during the "big upgrade" it will be BIG panels like Soundlab.

When inquiring, ask about aftermarket AC power cables. Thinking with such a nice toroidal transformer that it would work well with a fat cable. Sorry for spending your money 💵.

@gkelly  Thanks. I definitely noticed it with my phono pre-amp. I live in the UAE and order directly from the company (although they are Dutch, the head office is in Romania). I will check with them on return policy.

@tablejockey Thanks for your input. I used ARC to get the set-up done and ended up with almost exactly the 4 feet from the back wall for best sound. Cables are decently priced Benchmark speaker cables and interconnects, nothing extravagant.

When I used a sbooster in a device, noticed a difference. Use these guys for a 60 day return.

Also I can’t imagine that this company would advertise it, if there wasn’t a difference.

I use the predecessor to the ESL9-Theos.

The major difference being the woofer cabinet, otherwise identical panel dimensions.

The wall warts are just providing positive/negative voltage to the opposing stators. Doubtful.

Placement/location is paramount- away from the front wall 4-6 feet for the magic to happen. Moreso than cable/jumper neurosis.
