Look at the self powered Vanatoo speakers. Worked well in my son’s dorm and they are blue tooth capable so he just used his phone or a USB from his computer. Simple and had excellent sound. The Vanatoo Zeros or Model One depending on size needed. I have a pair of the Vanatoo One’s on my desk at home that I also enjoy. (They have a built in compressor you can turn off for best sound quality, but when on it acts as protection against being turned up to loud in a dorm room by accident 😬)
Looking for an all-in-one just-add-speakers streamer for my son to take to college
Cambridge Audio Evo 75 is probably the top of the range, but maybe a BlueSound Powernode is good enough? Maybe there is something cheaper that fits the bill?
My son is not (yet) an audiophile, so sufficient volume may be the most important, but interested in any thoughts folks have on this topic.
