Looking for a SS Amp to power Spatial Audio X-5's

If I remember correctly the X-5's are rated at 97 dB.  I want SS because the system is on all day (1 to 3 hours of listening and the rest is background/TV/movies/etc.).  My top of range for price is +/- $8K.

@mikem,
Thanks for providing your listening impressions between these 2 fine amplifiers. Both continue to generate universal praise.  I'd find the midrange purity of the S.I.T.3 to be  very hard to resist . This is such a coveted attribute in my opinion.

Agree, even with ith the limitations of my phone it was still good. Will listen again later with my desktop and better speakers. Charles

@mikem,
Thanks.
It brings back pleasant memories of 20 years ago driving from driving from Phoenix to Grand Canyon AZ. I was listening to the Ella and Louis Armstrong CD set. Entire family in the car enjoying the music and scenery.

@fixedincome,
What I meant by "quality watts" is you don’t have to be as obsessed with amplifier power as some who own insensitive and difficult to drive speakers. There are some really fine sounding lower power amplifiers available. Your Spatials allow the opportunity to explore this niche of excellent amplifiers

I’m not that familiar with this speaker so perhaps a 5 watt SET may or may not work, but amps in the 15 to 50 watt range certainly could. For example I believe that the First Watt S.I.T.-3 could possibly be an outstanding match.

@mikem,
Congratulations on acquiring the S.I.T.-3 you’re  off to a very good start straight out of the shipping box😀. I’m looking forward to your amplifier comparison.

@fixedincome,
Your speakers with 97 db sensitivity,  8 ohm impedance and built in powered subwoofer  allow the option of pursuing/focusing on  watt quality more so the watt quantity. In addition to the excellent suggestions for the Valvet Audio  and First Watt S,I.T.-3 also look at the Bakoon Audio 13R. BTW there's also the First Watt F7 and F8 to consider.

A very high quality lower watt  power amplifier should work exceptionally well with those Spatial Audio speakers. Best of luck.
