I prefer to keep 1m not shorter or longer. It's meant to optimize reactive load for both MM and MC carts. That's what most of manufacturers would recommend.
Length of Phono Cable to Phono Preamp
Hi. I have been reading suggestions to use a high capacitance phono-specific short interconnect between the turntable and phono preamp.
Then have a longer (1 meter) interconnect between the phono-preamp and preamp. I have a Pro-ject turntable with a LO Ortofon Cadenza cartridge, Blue Circle phono amp, and a Cayin tube integrated amp.
My question is to do a reality check on what I've been reading, and if the same applies to the interconnect between the phono preamp and amp? Thanks for your comments.
