Lavardin integrated amp problems

Just a word of warning to anyone considering Lavardin integrated amps : I had one and it made a snapping sound occasionally and also reacted to lights being switched on/off in the house. Two other friends had problems with occasional loud humming. All lavardin could offer was shipping the amps to complete overhaul which cost 1200 euros plus freight there and back, getting contact there was also troublesome. They also mentioned there is no guarantee about solving the problem.
Problematic amps with problematic customer service and possibilities of servicing them outside their factory. The sound is not bad but not spectacular either, many much more reliable and better sounding options, especially at their price.

I am writing this as reference for potential buyers of Lavardin integrated amps as I had no info about these amps when purchasing. Hopefully others have had better luck, but I think amp is the one part of the setup that should never be faulty unless it's very old.
