Latest Heil Creation

To smooth the air flow and reduce turbulance created at the interface of the Heil AMT and the cabinet/stand on which it sits, I got the idea to have a couple 3D pieces printed. I have a friend with a PRUSA, but it is down for a new nozzle right now, so this has to wait. The idea copies the engineering used in golf balls to reduce surface friction.

The curvature follows the flares that I had previously designed and attached to the Heils with Tacky Wax. The "step" accomodates the plastic bottom of the Heils case/top of the speaker/stand and the notch is to accomodate the "glue step" where the two sides of the Heil case are attached together.

I'll probably also do another pair that are just the "stepped area" that can fit into the top of the Heils and clean up the air around that step also.
