are you still listening to those Thiel CS 2.3 loudspeakers?

Happy Listening!

Sorry for the long delay. I don't check this forum often, but I do check e-mail. Feel free to e-mail at lbairn@gmail.com.

My latest projects are: (1) building a dedicated listening room (and maybe a separate A/V room), and (2) finishing a set of Belle Klipsch that I started about 35 years ago. I've had a difficult time locating audio consulting firms for Project #1, so I've spent quite a bit of time researching things. I'm still going to need help, though. Rives Audio seems to be the best I've found so far, but I haven't contacted them.

I have two primary systems and several smaller systems. One is built around Apogee Acoustics speakers and Mark Levinson amps and preamps, the other is built around Klipsch corner horns, Integra pre/pro, and either Carver or Eico tube amp. I also have a set of Magneplanars and the Belle Klipsch clones (that are playable, but need finishing touches.)

Very nice.

I've been into audio for quite a while and was talking to my coworking about an audio club in Lafayette and how many people do we think we could get together.

Looks like last post was some time ago so you guys probably are even on here anymore.

If anyone is still on let me know. We'll talk shop.
I think analog is a wise choice if you have a big record collection or your willing to spend money on vinyl out there. I never got into vinyl, but I have heard some awesome turntables and have been jelous of the sound.I say acrylic if you have the money for it go for it.Troyca
Hi Troy,
I'm a fifty year old music lover who has a simple system and am looking into upgrading. System oncludes Classe pre,pwr and CD, w. Thiel 2.3's. Thinking about analog.
Hey Troy, I changed my email address recently to (domingueac@hotmail.com). I found the font I was looking for and had a transparency made for the amp. I am in Lafayette close to River Ranch. I'll send an email concerning the interconnects.
Eddie

Hey Troy,
My name is Eddie Domingue. I've had an interest in audio equipment since I was 14, about 32 years. I became a member of Audiogon about 4 months ago. I have benn collecting rare and semi-rare equipment for the past 8 months. My collection includes: A Julius Futterman OTL-3 Amplifier, (2) Pioneer SX-1000 receivers:(1 very early release and 1 made latter months of 1970), A Sherwood S-5000 IV Amp/pre-amp, a Sherwood 3000 tuner, a Harmon Kardon Citation-12 Amplifier, a McIntosh Mc-50 Amplifier, A McIntosh MC-250 Amplifier, a Krell-Soundstream C-1 Preamp, a Kenwood KA-9100 Amplifier, a Moscode 300 Hybrid Amplifier, a Teac A2340 reel-to-reel, several vintage turntables, a pair of Magneplanar MG2.6R speakers, a pair of Magneplanar/Audio Research Tympani 1C 3-panel speakers, 4 vintage Tandy/RadioShack floor speakers and a pair of Cerwin-Vega D1 speakers.
Currently, I am trying to find the correct font for the logo on the Julius Futterman amp. I have restored the amp completely with silver coated copper wire in all the critical signal paths, and replaced 2 of the output capacitors, 1 resistor and the RCA input.
If you know of anyone that could help me identify the font style of the logo, I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks,
Eddie Domingue III 1960ac@cox.net
