Lack of Female Representation

I think they are turned off by the men in the hobby. I mean, I wear white socks with sandals as a ploy in order to stay single, but what's your excuse?

There's more truth than humor (and it was some good humor) in that statement. Women, in general, are turned off by too much masculine toxicity. It's systemic in our culture. Take a look at gamergate and the shit they went through with that, and coding and programing. 

They were insulted, threatened with rape, acid attacks and death, just for having a point of view and being better at the job in lots of cases. Now, take one look at what goes on here between the boys and would you advise your wife or daughter to join in on the fun? 

There are women here who post but they're savvy enough to stay clear of what passes for barely concealed insanity that's now passing for normalcy. They have their act together and have for much longer than men.

My wife LOVES music but could care less in soundstage or placement of instruments and the such. Doesn't like sitting in one place but likes to listen to music while cooking or over dinner as background music. She's a music lover but not an Audiophile.

So sexism is a part of this hobby.
There was nothing offensive in my post and yet some knuckle dragger took exception to it. Pitiful. Keep on talking about how they do the cooking and think, see and hear differently so that they can be pigeonholed like it's always been done.
