Krell HTS 7.1 blown away

Hello!

This is my first post here even though I've been a member for a while.  :)

I just picked up a Krell HTS from the original owner.   I bought it primarily for the analog stage and that I could use it with my TV too (optical to save space.)

It is incredible.  I'm hearing things I have never heard before.

Bryston 9B ST (upgraded to SST during a serving at Bryston)
Nad CD Transport (can't remember the model)
Thorens Turntable
Arcam x 2: Phono preamp, Bluetooth
Polk LSiM speakers on stands

Questions for anyone who may know:
1) Does anyone have a guide on setting up this prepro?  I can't seem to find the right away to program inputs

2) I am now thinking I can getting a better set of bookshelf speakers.  Any ideas?
- room is 14' deep between the speakers but much longer (kitchen / living combined)
- budget of $1k or under.  Willing to buy used if they're in good condition

I listen to Jazz, funk, alternative, and a lot of accoustic.

Thanks for looking and glad to be here!

Thanks for the reply.  I didn't realize there was an on-screen menu.  I probably need an s-video to HDMI converter which would obviously be helpful.

I'll give both Elac and MA an audition.  I have heard the MA before and you are right.  Very bright.
