Klipsch P-39F?

Hi, I have a pair of (second hand, no longer warrantied) Klipsch P-39F speakers with toasted tweeters.
I know the correct procedure to replace the tweeters is remove the top Woofer.
My question is, does anyone know how to or even if it is possible to remove the ring around the woofer without damaging the trim ring?
If so or even if it is not possible to remove without damage, how do you remove the trim ring without damaging the cabinet?
