KLH Model Twenty-Plus
I have just "liberated" a KLH Model Twenty-Plus modular stereo system..it consists of two speakers on tulip bases and a matching wood unit inside of which is a garrard changer and receiver..the system is in great shape functionally and cosmetically.....my question is whether I can replace the garrard/receiver part with a combo amp/cdp unit such as an arcam (I believe) and get okay sound....I think I remember that the response of the amps were tailored to the speakers of all the old KLH modular units.....It has the highest WAF of anything I have ever had and it would fit perfectly into my study.....advice appreciated since it has not cost me anything yet, I don't want to waste money if I cannot have it sound good as a cd dedicated system.
