KLE changes

Thoughts on the change from Absolute Harmony to Perfect Harmony?

Whilst I have promoted KLE Innovations products tirelessly on this forum, e.g.

  • I use the Absolute Harmony on all of my interconnects
  • I use their Banana plugs on my speaker cables

Even I would have to ask, just how much better could this RCA plug be?

The performance of the Absolute Harmony on my interconnect cables is stunning, so how much better than Stunning do I want to achieve?

It might make more sense to install them on a turntable, where details are the name of the game and the voltages are so very low..

I think their RCA product line is now very confusing, which RCA does a person choose?

When they introduced the Absolute Harmony I think they should have dropped the Pure Harmony because the price difference was so small and the differences in performance were not really HUGE. Since then they introduce a new RCA at the bottom of the line, which "muddies the water" around the Copper Harmony

It’s all very confusing !

But If you want the very best RCA plug money can buy - then go for it!

However, I don’t think I’m about to change my Interconnect RCA’s any time soon.

Hope that makes sense - Steve

I just looked them up on Parts Connexion and they are priced at $175.00 CDN for a 4 pack - OUCH !

They also have the Absolute Harmony marked as "discontinued".

However, the list from the KLEI Site includes

So there is also now an upgraded PURE Harmony?. Even more confusing.

I have exchanged emails with KLE about the Classic harmony vs. the Copper Harmony and he maintains there is a difference between the two, but the Classic Harmony is a very good RCA plug, i.e. compared to the competition

But is there is a noticeable improvement in the

  • upgraded Pure Harmony vs the standard Pure Harmony?
  • that would bring it very close to the level of the Absolute Harmony

Hopefully this "bulging" product range is due KLEI wanting to deplete existing stock levels, which will hopefully reduce the size of the lineup over time.

My problem with this many options is - the buyer is always left wondering how good is the next plug in the product range

  • I think they have taken a leaf out of the Audioquest playbook of business strategies.😣

But if you want to try the Harmony plug for the first time, I would opt for the Classic Harmony and if you are impressed, then jump to the Absolute Harmony

Personally - I will still opt for the Absolute Harmony

But it is very confusing indeed !

Regards - Steve

I had recently replaced all of my RCAs to Absolute Harmony and bought the AH female RCAs to replace my stock sub RCAs.

i just installed a set of Perfect Harmony sockets in my modified PassLabs B1 preamp. They replaced a set of WBT Nex Gen copper sockets. Wow, I immediately heard more bass and greater clarity. Even my wife in another room noticed more clarity and more body to the music. Highly recommnded!

I also installed absolute harmony plugs on my DIY silver cable. The improvment is pretty obvious. I can hear more details from my favorite albums I’ve listened to everyday. This is very interesting. Absolute harmony plugs are very light-weight and not fancy at all. Just two metal plates with regular plastic housing. However, it beats my previous copper plugs. They are CNCed from solid copper and much heavier than absolute harmony plugs.
