Kimber Select KS-1136 XLRs vs. Synergistic Research Galileo SX XLRs

Hello & Happy New Years Everyone:

Just reaching out to the Audiogon Collective in the hopes that a few of you fellas have used Kimber's KS-1136 Select XLRs and SR's Galileo SX XLRs.  Please provide your input on what you liked about each, and also your dislikes also, plus what struck you immediately (good or bad) when going from your existing cable to either the Kimber KS-1136 or SR Galileo SX XLRs.

LOCATION IN FRONT END - Between mono amps and preamp.

PREAMP - Esoteric & Viva Linea (I switch between the SS & Tube pre's)

AMPS - Pass Labs XA-200.5, Class A amps, Lamm ML1.1 and a pair of Sonic Frontiers Power 3's souped-up to SE++ by Chris @ Parts Connexion

Thank you very much for your input fellas & I wish everyone a prosperous new year.

These are two very differently-voiced cables.

The Kimber is more sparkly and detail oriented with a very exciting presence and crispness, whereas the Galileo SX will have a richer tone, more impactful bass, deliver impeccable breath and decay, and deliver more effortlessly.

The Kimber tends to come out at you more, whereas the Galileo SX draws you in.

The right choice depends on your personal preferences and how each cable will have synergy with your system.

I am a Synergistic Research dealer, but I had an entire Galileo SX loom prior to dealing for them. One trick I've found is to use the latest Master Tuning Bullets on the Galileo SX. It will improve the performance considerably and bring much more realism to the table. I've since moved on to an entire loom of SRX and SRX XL.
