JPS Labs like it. They use it on their Kaptivator AC cord. I like them as well, they power my mono blocks.
Kapton for wire dielectric? ??
Low-Static Polyimide (Kapton) Tape
How would this work for speaker wire? Put 20-26 gauge magnet wire between 2 plies of Kapton. The Kapton has adhesive on it and would stick to itself. Non-static version also available.
Low-Static Polyimide (Kapton) Tape
Minimize electrostatic discharge (ESD) that can cause circuit board degradation. A unique coating on this film allows it to generate very low ESD when unwinding from the roll (150 volts), as well as upon removal from printed circuit boards (50 volts). Also excellent for use as a masking tape in clean rooms where low ESD is a concern. Note: ESD values are based on an ESD-controlled environment at 70° F and 50% relative humidity.
Tape consists of a 1-mil thick polyimide film with 1.6 mils of silicone adhesive. Temperature range is 40° to 600° F. Dielectric strength is 7000 volts and tensile strength is 32 lbs./in. width. Supplied on a 3" dia. core. Color is amber.
