Just ordered Odyssey Stratos Extreme

Yesterday I took the plunge and ordered a Odyssey Stratos Extreme+++ with upgraded binding posts, wire and input jacks. This is the first time I have bought something sight unheard and unseen. I was all excited until I was told there is a 6-10 week wait:(

I am really excited about how this will integrate into the rest of my system. I would love to hear from others who have a Stratos amp. And now the long wait begins...........

Lucky you. I have been trying for 2 days to get in touch with him as I am interested if there is anything more he can do to this amp. One thing naggine me is that in 1998, I paid $2995.00 for my Classe 15 amp and I am replacing it with an amp that costs almost 40% less. Do you think I have made a good move?

I used the Stratos Extreme from 2010 to 2017.  I am very sorry I sold it.   Stupidly, I thought I needed more power for the new speakers I purchased last Summer, so I sold the amp and bought a Conrad-Johnson MF2550 250wpc amp.  Retail on the CJ amp was $5200.00.  The Odyssey was much better in all regards, quick, agile and lots of great bass.

I have now moved on to an all McIntosh system.

I didn’t go back to Odyssey because I had upgraded my secondary system to McIntosh and loved the sound so much that I went with McIntosh for the main system. Like Klaus of Odyssey always said. "synergy is everything".

Had I not tried McIntosh in my secondary system, I would have gone with the Odyssey Kismet Monoblocks and probably waited 6-7 months for them to be built.
I bought my McIntosh MC152 150wpc amp  for $2900.00 used.  It is still a current piece in their line.  That isn't much more expensive than the  Kismet amp.
