JL Audio Fathom V3 Sub in development???

Just wondering if anyone knows whether a Fathom V3 sub is in development. The V2 is many years old now but perhaps was only done to fix all the issues seen in V1.

Maybe they will match the build quality of components with the sound this time! Too many failures in the field. Sent my V1 in for the $400 fix and worked fine for about a month or 2.Hum is back off and on and auto cal doesn’t work now. It’s not 400 exactly it’s about double that cause you need to pay for shipping! They sound great but not sure I’d buy another one at the premium prices they charge.

Good question, I was wondering the same lately.  The Fathom F212 v1 was released in 2008 (which I had), and the F212 v2 was released 2016 (eight years later). 2024 is another 8 years, so seems like now would be the right timing for v3. I last had a pair of JL Gotham v1s and sold them both a couple years ago with plans to upgrade to v2, but holding off in case of v3. The McIntosh PS2K is on the table, but I prefer JL Audio's auto calibration.
