Jimmy Fallon has a Mcintosh turntable

He showed it last night on his cell phone. He was playing a picture disc of Barry Manilow.

One interesting "celebrity" audiophile is Henry Rollins, of all people. He has a pair of the big Wilsons ($200,000!) powered by VTL tubes. I don't recall, but I believe he has a VPI table. Brian Berdan (yes, son of Brooks) at Audio Elements in Pasadena is his long-time pusher.
If he was gonna have any expensive table, it figures it’s a Mac. In the 60’s and 70’s (and maybe today), it and others like it were referred to as "Carriage trade" brands. Not that there’s anything wrong with Mac---it’s good stuff. Beautiful (imo), too.
Right you are, taters. It was at Brooks Berdan Ltd. that Henry bought his system, but it was Brian who demoed, assembled, and installed the system in Henry’s home. Brooks was already ill with the Crohns disease which eventually killed him, and Brian was running the store. Brooks’ widow Sheila now manages BBL in Monrovia, and Brian has his new shop not far away in Pasadena.
