Just received the jays to replace my Rotel rcd 1572 ( as a transport )

Using the same Rca s/pdif cable the Jays sounds muted in the highs.

I am using the I2S connection and it's amazing. I tried the RCA/coaxial connection earlier when I received the Jay's but it wasn't burned in then. I kept the I2S hooked up and never went back to the RCA/coaxial connection. Sorry can't offer opinions on it. It really takes 400 hours to burn-in as stated in the manual. I was skeptical at first and around halfway it really started opening up. Don't give up on the Jay's cd2 mkIII. I hate trying to convince anyone how to spend their money if they aren't happy with a purchase. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

It's performing flawlessly with over 400 hours now. Definitely my end game transport I have too many discs to not give them a better transport. Chuckie/Alvin
